We are terribly sorry to inform that all events within the EMG 2008 sailings are cancelled! The local organising committee (the Regional Sailing federation of Skåne and MSS) and the EMG 2008 steering committee have agreed that based on the number of registered participants as of today there are no realistic conditions to create good quality competitions.

Compensation

We are naturally very disappointed with the result of our efforts in making good sailing events and we fully understand the disappointment from registered participants. To try to compensate somewhat we offer all who registered (paid and unpaid) to take part in the EMG 2008 festivities nevertheless. You are therefore welcome as an accredited person at the games (including the games pack) and, if you wish, also to take part in the open half marathon. All free of charge of course. Please inform us of your interest to office@emg2008.com – include your registration account e-mail and details on whether you would like to be accredited and/or run in the open half marathon.

Refunds

The information below is directed to people who paid their registrations only!
We will as soon as possible start refunding all paid registrations (receivers of this mail can be both people who paid their registrations and people who didn’t since we still are receiving bank payments). No action from your side is needed to be refunded for paid registrations unless (!) there was an accompanying person registered with you – we would then like you to reply with the name of this person to be able to refund him or her as well. Payments made by an online card payment will be refunded in full and the returned to the account from which it was paid. Bank payments and Plusgiro (Sweden) will, when possible, be transferred back but in some cases we will need to get back to you for further details (bank account etc). When we have refunded your payment we will send another message letting you know. If you then do not receive your refund within a week from receiving that message you should get in contact with us.
Again, we are truly sorry for the situation at hand. Please accept our apologies!
